Mindy McCready and Mom
Attempting to lessen the severity of the situation, Mindy McCready's rep is coming to her defense.
The singer's rep, Brent Young, told TMZ that his client did not OD on drugs- she just had a bad reaction to a painkiller and her mom “overreacted.”
TMZ was told that Mindy's mom gave her four Darvocet pills earlier in the day and when Mindy said she didn't feel well because of the Darvocet, her mom suspected overdose and called 911.
Young says he just spoke with Mindy, saying, "She's totally coherent. She can't believe her mom did this."
