The Cannes Film Festival contender is based on the famous novel-titled movie by Jack Kerouac, which revolves around two men, Sal (an aspiring writer in NYC) and Dean (a charming ex-con), with the latter being married to the seductive Marylou, played by Miss Stewart.The trio's travels take place in the Beat Generation and lead them on a journey throughout America to find the meaning of life. “On the Road” also stars Tom Sturridge, Sam Riley, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams and Elisabeth Moss.
